Approach Picks Up Aspire Housing’s Education in the Community Award at the Community Christmas Event
This afternoon we attended the Aspire Housing Community Christmas Event where we were presented with the Education in Community award for our work with St. Mary’s Primary School.
You may remember earlier this year that our Men in Sheds took part in Aspire Housing’s Environment Day; which saw them work with Aspire Housing and St. Mary’s Primary School to improve our environment.
Men in Sheds group and pupils from St. Mary’s Primary School took part in a litter pick to clear up the streets of our local community and helped plant hanging baskets and potted sunflower seeds ready to bloom.
The pupils then visit the Men in Sheds group at the Brook Centre and worked with the group to make bird boxes.
Here is our Dementia Advisor, Lisa collecting the award for Approach. Thank you to Aspire for this award, our Men in Sheds have really enjoyed working with you this year!
