Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Community Investment Fund has awarded Approach with over £15000!
The funds will help with the continual support and resources that those impacted by dementia require.
Approach Dementia Support is delighted to have the opportunity to develop the group services as a result of the funding through the purchase of RemPods. RemPods are portable environment decorations that can transform almost any indoor space to become a wide variety of different experiences. Some of these transformations include a tea room, the seaside and a disco room!
For people with dementia, having access to a familiar and comfortable space is vital to improving their wellbeing. The use of RemPods will enable us to deliver a new service that will transport local people with dementia to a different time and place. In turn, this will facilitate socialisation and reduce isolation and loneliness.
Therefore, a huge Thank you goes out to Stoke-on-Trent City Council for your support!
