As of 1st April 2022, the Approach office has been based at the Dementia Centre at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice on Barlaston Road in Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent (ST3 3NZ).
Since 2018, Approach and the Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) have collaborated through a strategic alliance. The number of people being impacted by dementia are higher than ever. Therefore, cohesive dementia support has never been more essential.
That’s why Approach and Dougie Mac began our strategic alliance. Our goal is to ensure that local people affected by dementia get the right support at the right time. Through collaboration and cooperation, Approach and Dougie Mac will integrate quality dementia services for our heartland.
The Approach office are being sharing a building with Dougie Mac’s Admiral Nurse team, who specialise in advanced dementia support. Therefore, combined with Approach’s support for those with mild to moderate dementia, this move strengthens our goal of providing truly holistic dementia support for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
