Approach has been delivering Dementia Support since 1981 and offers bespoke training to the voluntary sector, private, independent and public sector organisations.

What We Offer

 

At Approach we offer a range of training services to a variety of organisations which are specifically developed to meet the needs of that organisation. They can vary from a one-hour ‘Introduction to Dementia’ to a two or three hour,  in-depth ‘Dementia Awareness’ session. This offers an insight into the various forms of Dementia, it’s signs and symptoms, organic causes, hints and tips of how to work with someone affected Dementia and advice on the effective handling of a variety of situations.

This training is prepared and delivered by a team headed by Gaynor Morton, Training Officer. Gaynor has a wealth of experience in this area, as a Registered General Nurse she spent over 25 years working in the social care sector and in care homes, she then spent 10 years as a Lecturer in Health and Professional Studies obtaining a teaching degree whilst doing this. Gaynor is also qualified in Palliative Care (ENB 931) and in complementary therapies.

Costs

There is a fee structure in place which we are able to discuss with any organisation wishing to access our bespoke training services.

For charities and other voluntary sector organisations, training packages start at £125.00 per one hour session for a group of up to 15 staff on your premises or £175.00 if a training venue is required.

A three-hour session is charged at £200.00 on your own premises or £250.00 if a training venue is required.

For Private companies and businesses, private training packages start at £225.00 per one hour session for a group of up to 15 staff on your premises or £275.00 if a training venue is required.

A three-hour session is charged at £300.00 on your own premises or £350.00 if a training venue is required.
