My Day My Way Support Worker

for our My Day My Way Service. This is not purely a domiciliary care role.
Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire area.
Minimum 15 hours per week variable contract over four days, to include evening and weekend calls with the potential to work extra hours each week covering sickness/annual leave.
£8.27 per hour, increasing to £8.50 per hour with a NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
Approach” My Day My Way” is a support service for older people with dementia. This personalised service aims to support clients to remain independent in the community accessing local activities or groups which are enjoyable to them and aid their mental well-being. We aim to care match our clients’ needs with our staff based on shared interests to meet their goals, these include gardening, shopping, crafting, sports participation and attending events.
Our ideal candidates will be experienced Support Workers who will work with the same clients on a weekly basis for hourly sessions (a usual call time is 3 hours with a minimum call time of 1 hour) to give the service user continuity of care. The service runs from 7.00am till 10.00pm, 7 days per week. They will preferably hold a Level 2 NVQ/QCF in a Health and Social Care. A full induction and training will be given upon commencement for the successful applicant.
Car driver essential, we pay a mileage allowance of 25p per mile for travel to and from the client’s home and 42p per mile for travel when out on a call.

Annual Leave entitlement is 27 days per annum plus bank holidays, pro rata to full time staff.
